How it works
- Choose the prefecture, then the municipality (type to filter; wards of big cities are listed separately where the agencies split by ward).
- Read the six offices with their address, phone and official page — “part of the municipality” is flagged where an office covers only some districts.
- Open the official page to confirm before you go: jurisdictions change occasionally.
Why nothing is uploaded
Every operation on this page is done by code running inside your browser tab, using the same engine that renders web pages. The file is read from disk into your tab’s memory, transformed there, and written back out as a download. It is never sent anywhere — not to us, not to a third party.
Verify it yourself
- Open your browser’s developer tools (F12) and select the Network tab.
- Load your file and run the tool.
- The only requests you will see fetch the tool’s own code — and, for a few heavy tools, their open-source engine from a public CDN — plus one small page-view ping to loreatec.jp (page address and title, nothing more). None of them carry your file.
Frequently asked questions
Where does the data come from?
From the official jurisdiction lists: the National Tax Agency (税務署), Japan Pension Service (年金事務所), the Ministry of Justice / Legal Affairs Bureaus (法務局・支局・出張所), each Prefectural Labour Bureau (労働基準監督署 and ハローワーク) and the Immigration Services Agency (出入国在留管理局). The verification date is shown at the bottom.
Why does the Legal Affairs Bureau column sometimes name a different, farther office?
Company (commercial) registration is centralised: many local branches only issue certificates, and the actual 商業・法人登記 for your municipality is handled by the main or a designated office. We show the office that handles registrations; the note tells you when a nearer branch can still issue certificates.
A big city shows several offices for the same ward — which one?
Some agencies split a ward by district (e.g. tax offices in central Tokyo). Those rows are marked “part of”, and the verbatim jurisdiction text is shown so you can match your street.
Does it work offline?
Yes. The jurisdiction tables are static files cached by the site; after the first visit the tool works without a connection.
