Why nothing is uploaded
Every operation on this page is done by code running inside your browser tab, using the same engine that renders web pages. The file is read from disk into your tab’s memory, transformed there, and written back out as a download. It is never sent anywhere — not to us, not to a third party.
Verify it yourself
- Open your browser’s developer tools (F12) and select the Network tab.
- Load your file and run the tool.
- The only requests you will see are the tool’s own code and, once cached, none at all.
Frequently asked questions
Nothing came back for my .jp domain.
Many country-code registries, JPRS among them, do not publish RDAP at all — so a registered .jp domain returns nothing here. That is a gap in the protocol’s adoption, not a sign the domain is free. Use the registry’s own WHOIS page for those.
Why is the registrant’s name missing?
Since GDPR, registries redact personal details from public records for most domains. What remains is the registrar, the dates, the status codes and the name servers. No tool can show you what the registry no longer publishes.
What do the status codes mean?
clientTransferProhibited is the normal lock a registrar sets to prevent hijacking. pendingDelete and redemptionPeriod mean an expired domain is on its way out. serverHold means it has been deactivated and will not resolve.
