Make an ID or passport photo
A photo booth costs ¥800 and gives you one take. Take the picture at home against a plain wall, line the head up with the guides, and print a sheet of copies as an ordinary photo print. Your face never leaves this browser.

How it works
- Drop a front-facing portrait, ideally against a plain background.
- Choose the size, then drag and zoom until the top of the head touches the upper red line and the chin the lower one (“Fit to the head” does a first pass). Pick a background colour if needed.
- Download the single photo, or the L-size sheet and print it as a normal photo print at 100%; cut along the marks.
Why nothing is uploaded
Every operation on this page is done by code running inside your browser tab, using the same engine that renders web pages. The file is read from disk into your tab’s memory, transformed there, and written back out as a download. It is never sent anywhere — not to us, not to a third party.
Verify it yourself
- Open your browser’s developer tools (F12) and select the Network tab.
- Load your file and run the tool.
- The only requests you will see fetch the tool’s own code — and, for a few heavy tools, their open-source engine (also from this site) or an AI model from Hugging Face — plus one small page-view ping to loreatec.jp (page address and title, nothing more). None of them carry your file.
Frequently asked questions
Will this photo be accepted for a passport?
The size and head position follow the published rules (for a Japanese passport: 35×45 mm, 34 ± 2 mm from chin to crown, 4 ± 2 mm above the head). Acceptance also depends on things only you control: a recent photo, neutral expression, even light, no shadows, and no retouching of your features — check your country’s current list before printing.
How does the background replacement work?
A portrait-separation model (MODNet, Apache-2.0) runs in this browser: about 25 MB is downloaded once from Hugging Face, and the photo itself is never sent. It works best with a plain wall behind you; around frizzy hair, a light background colour hides small imperfections.
How do I print the sheet?
Print the sheet file as an ordinary L-size (89×127 mm) photo print — Japanese convenience-store photo printers do it for about ¥40, and any photo service or home printer with L-size paper works. Choose 100% with no “fit to page” or automatic border trimming; the sheet keeps a 4 mm margin so a borderless printer does not cut into a photo.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. Cropping, background replacement and the print sheet are all made in this browser tab; nothing about your face is sent anywhere.
