Record your screen
A quick walkthrough for a colleague, a bug report, a recorded slide talk: press record, share what you want, stop. The video stays on your computer.
- Runs entirely in your browser
- Works offline
- No upload
- No sign-up
- No watermark
Loading the tool…
How it works
- Choose whether to record your microphone and the tab’s sound, then press “Start recording”.
- Your browser asks what to share — the whole screen, a window or a tab — and shows its own bar while recording. Pause, resume or stop at any time.
- Watch the result, download it, or trim it and convert it to MP4 or WebM.
Why nothing is uploaded
Every operation on this page is done by code running inside your browser tab, using the same engine that renders web pages. The file is read from disk into your tab’s memory, transformed there, and written back out as a download. It is never sent anywhere — not to us, not to a third party.
Verify it yourself
- Open your browser’s developer tools (F12) and select the Network tab.
- Load your file and run the tool.
- The only requests you will see fetch the tool’s own code — and, for a few heavy tools, their open-source engine (also from this site) or an AI model from Hugging Face — plus one small page-view ping to loreatec.jp (page address and title, nothing more). None of them carry your file.
Frequently asked questions
Does it work on a phone?
No. Recording the screen from a web page needs the browser’s screen-capture feature, which only desktop browsers offer (Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on a computer). Phones have their own built-in screen recorder for that.
Why is the tab sound sometimes missing?
Browsers decide which sound they let a page record: Chrome and Edge can share a tab’s sound (and on Windows the whole system’s), Safari and Firefox usually only the picture. Tick “share tab audio” in the browser’s sharing dialog when it is offered. Your microphone is mixed in separately.
MP4 or WebM?
Chrome, Edge and Safari record MP4 directly, which plays everywhere; Firefox records WebM. Either way you can trim the recording and convert it to MP4 (H.264) or WebM here, with the same engine as the site’s other video tools.
Is my recording uploaded?
No. The capture is recorded by this browser tab and stays in its memory until you download it; trimming and converting also happen here. Nothing is sent anywhere.
